San Bernardino County Law Enforcement Conducts Multi-Agency “Operation Consequences”
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA — Between January 5, 2026, and January 11, 2026, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, in collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies, executed “Operation Consequences.” The targeted crime suppression effort involved serving seven search warrants and contacting suspects across various locations, including Yucca Valley, Adelanto, Victorville, San Bernardino, Fontana, and Montclair. During this period, the San Bernardino Movement Against Street Hoodlums (SMASH) Street Enforcement Team (SET) also carried out proactive patrols within the City of Victorville and adjacent jurisdictions.
The week-long operation resulted in 11 arrests. Investigators contacted individuals identified as gang members and persons legally prohibited from possessing firearms. Law enforcement personnel seized a total of 13 firearms, including one ghost gun. These activities are part of a broader initiative funded by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors to increase law enforcement services related to community quality-of-life issues.
Operation Consequences is scheduled to continue over the next several months, focusing on the High Desert and the Sheriff’s jurisdictions surrounding San Bernardino. The operation utilizes personnel from the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division, the California Highway Patrol, the San Bernardino Police Department, San Bernardino County Probation, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations. The stated objectives of the ongoing operation are to address violent crime, disrupt criminal street gangs, and apprehend individuals involved in the illegal possession, manufacturing, and trafficking of firearms.
