Three Arrested in Connection with Alleged Meth Sales Out of Local Gas Station

REDDING, CA — “The Redding Police Department Neighborhood Police Unit (NPU), with assistance from Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) agents, arrested three Redding residents following an investigation into methamphetamine sales occurring at a local 7-Eleven store on Eureka Way in Redding, CA.

NPU officers developed information indicating that two employees of the store were actively selling large quantities of methamphetamine while on duty, with narcotics concealed within the business. Due to the location being a licensed Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) establishment, ABC agents responded to assist with the investigation.

During the operation on January 8, 2026, the primary suspect, Crissy Bruce, age 40, was observed leaving the location in a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained five occupants, including the driver, Daniel Keiser, age 32 and Bruce. A Redding Police Department K9 unit conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed approximately 1/2 ounce of methamphetamine.

NPU officers then responded back to the 7-Eleven store and contacted store clerk Thomas Boot, age 43. Boot was found to be in possession of approximately one ounce of methamphetamine on his person. A search of the store, conducted pursuant to its ABC license, resulted in the discovery of approximately 1/2 pound of methamphetamine concealed inside a bathroom, along with a functional scale and packaging material.

Bruce, Keiser, and Boot, all residents of Redding, were arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on drug-related charges for the possession/transportation of a controlled substance for sale and conspiracy.

The NPU will continue to aggressively target narcotics traffickers, particularly those who exploit their employment as a cover for illegal activity, to protect the community from the dangers of drug distribution and abuse.”
