Arrest on Township Road Leads to Recovery of Narcotics and Firearm

YUBA CITY, CA  — A deputy on patrol in the area of North Township Road recently detained a male subject with an outstanding warrant, leading to the recovery of narcotics and a loaded firearm.

The incident occurred when a deputy recognized the male individual, who was working on a vehicle in the front lot of a local business, as having an active warrant for his arrest. The deputy made contact with the subject and took him into custody without any reported resistance or incident.

During the initial contact, law enforcement personnel observed narcotics in plain view within the vehicle. This observation established grounds for a search of the vehicle.

The subsequent search conducted by the deputy resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, items of drug paraphernalia, and a loaded firearm with ammunition.

The subject faces multiple charges following the discovery. These include being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a loaded firearm while also being in possession of narcotics.
