Local Law Enforcement Responds to Stabbing Incident in Middletown
MIDDLETOWN, CA — Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in the Middletown area on December 2, 2025, at approximately 6:30 PM.
Initial dispatches suggesting the incident may have occurred at Middletown High School were quickly determined to be incorrect by deputies upon arrival. The event was not on school grounds nor associated with any school activities. Following the incident, the victim left the park and drove to the gas station location. Paramedics evaluated the victim at the scene before transporting him to an out-of-county hospital for treatment.
Deputies later located Clark at his residence and took him into custody without incident. Clark has been arrested on charges related to attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Authorities have characterized the event as an isolated incident, assuring the public that there is no ongoing threat to students, school staff, or the broader community.
