Fugitive Wanted for Kidnapping and Attempted Murder Apprehended
PORTERVILLE, CA — Authorities located and arrested one of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Top 10 fugitives on Tuesday. The apprehension resulted from a joint effort between detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s CATTCH Unit and police officers from the Tule River Department of Safety.
The arrested individual was identified as Christian Garcia, a 27-year-old resident of Porterville. Garcia was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, which included charges of kidnapping, attempted murder, and a probation violation. Specific details regarding the alleged offenses were not released by the involved agencies.
The arrest successfully removed a person sought for serious felony charges from the community. Law enforcement agencies in the region continue to prioritize the location and apprehension of individuals listed on the Sheriff’s Top 10 Most Wanted Criminals in Hiding list, which is maintained and viewable on the Tulare County government website.
