Multi-County “Operation Folsom Blues 3.0” Yields Over 100 Arrests

FOLSOM, CA – A multi-agency law enforcement operation, dubbed “Operation Folsom Blues 3.0,” concluded on September 19, 2025, with over 100 arrests related to drug trafficking and other felony offenses. Led by the Folsom Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), the five-day operation aimed to disrupt the sale and distribution of fentanyl and other illegal narcotics within the region.

The coordinated effort, which ran from September 15–19, involved personnel from a wide range of local, state, and federal agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Law enforcement partners from multiple counties, including Sacramento, El Dorado, and Placer, also participated.

Efforts during the operation included search warrants, interdiction operations, and patrols in areas identified for drug activity. According to the Folsom Police Department, the arrests were connected to offenses such as drug trafficking and illegal firearms possession.

“This operation demonstrates the power of collaboration,” said Lieutenant David Canepa of the Folsom Police Department. “Only by working together can we hold offenders accountable and keep our neighborhoods safe.” The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office provided on-site support for case processing.

A press conference is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, at 12:00 p.m. at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, where officials are expected to release additional details regarding the operation’s outcomes.
