Juvenile Gang Member Arrested for Alleged Possession of Illegal Weapons
MARYSVILLE, CA — A juvenile suspect was arrested earlier in the month for alleged weapons violations.
According to a press release by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, investigators carried out a search warrant on the 5900 block of Park Avenue on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 6.
During the search, investigators reportedly seized an AR-15 rifle without a serial number and loaded with a high-capacity drum magazines.
The authorities reportedly also seized two loaded handguns and additional ammunition.
The sheriff’s office identified the suspect as a validated member of a criminal street gang. Due to their age, the suspect’s name has not been released.
The suspect was booked into juvenile hall for alleged weapons violations, the sheriff’s office said.
