ROSEVILLE, CA — August 5, 2025 – “The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the possibility that there may be additional victims connected to an attempted rape that occurred along the Dry Creek trail on Sunday, August 3.
The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Sergiy Fedchyk of Sacramento.
If you witnessed the incident, recently encountered the suspect in the area, or believe you may be a victim, please contact our Investigations Tip Line at (530) 889-7830.
Additionally, if you have any video footage from the area between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 3 – such as dashcam, bike cam, or cell phone video – it may be helpful to the investigation.
We encourage anyone with information to come forward.
