Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges After West Roseville Stabbing Incident

WEST ROSEVILLE, CA —   A 33-year-old man was arrested June 14 for attempted murder.

“On Saturday,  at approximately 6:45 p.m., Placer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Vandenberg Circle in west Roseville following a report of an assault.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim suffering from a stab wound to his cheek.

The suspect, later identified as James Nunley, had fled the scene in a black BMW.

Deputies immediately launched an investigation, with support from PCSO detectives.

Through coordinated efforts, the suspect’s location was traced to the South Natomas area of Sacramento. On Sunday, June 15, shortly before 1 p.m., Nunley was arrested by the Sacramento Police Department and subsequently transferred into the custody of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

Nunley is currently being held on charges of attempted murder.”
