Petaluma Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

“On December 30th at approximately 9:51 pm, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 200 block of Stokes Court.

The subject causing the disturbance was identified as Jesus Arenas-Guevara (38-year-old Petaluma resident). Officers learned that Arenas-Guevara was on active Sonoma County probation.

When officers attempted to contact Arenas-Guevara, he exited the residence holding a knife. Officers had a short interaction with Arenas-Guevara before he retreated into his residence. After retreating into the residence, Officers confirmed Arenas-Guevara was the only person inside the residence.

Due to displaying the knife (417 PC), obstructing officers during an investigation (148 PC), and being in violation of his probation terms (1203.2 PC), a warrant was sought and later issued for the arrest of Arenas-Guevara.

On January 6th, Arenas-Guevara was arrested by the Petaluma Police Department on the issued warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sonoma County Jail.”
