San Mateo police reportedly arrested a man after discovering narcotics and a ghost gun in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

On the night of Sept. 2, police conducted a traffic stop after seeing a Honda Accord allegedly run a stop sign at Monte Diablo Avenue and North Bayshore Boulevard.

During the stop, officers learned the driver’s license had been suspended and that he was also a convicted felon.

Further investigation indicated the presence of illegal substances inside the vehicle.

Officers conducted a K9 search of the vehicle, reportedly discovering narcotics and a loaded, unregistered Glock pistol.

The driver, identified as Sebastian Flores-Lavine, was arrested on multiple charges related to firearm possession and drug offenses. He was taken to San Mateo County jail for booking, police said.
