Man Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Other Man During Altercation

An individual was arrested in connection with a recent stabbing in Madera, police announced in a press release.

Just after 6:30 PM on Monday, March 18, officers responded to the 300 block of Grove Street to investigate a report of assault with a deadly weapon. The caller reported that two men were fighting outside a residence and one was actively stabbing the other.

Officers arrived on scene and located both individuals. The suspected aggressor was identified as Eric Salazar, 24. The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

Salazar was arrested and booked at the Madera County jail.
