Oakland Man Arrested on Pimping and Pandering Charges in Redwood City

A man was recently arrested for alleged human trafficking following an investigation by the Redwood City Police Department.

According to a press release, Redwood City PD’s Street Crimes Suppression Team arrested an Oakland man in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations of human trafficking, which began in December of 2023 when detectives had come into contact with a human trafficking victim at an area hotel.

Detectives identified the individual suspected of trafficking the victim as 33-year-old Marqus Alexander Coleman, and obtained an arrest warrant soon thereafter.

On March 27, probation officers located and arrested in Coleman in Alameda County. Detectives also conducted a search of his home in Oakland and seized additional evidence in connection with the case, police said.

Coleman was booked at the Santa Rita jail on suspicion of pimping and pandering.
