“On December 20th at around 1:00 AM Redwood City officers responded to an alarm call at the Self Serve Car Wash, 305 Woodside Road. The alarm company notified RCPD Dispatch that they had confirmed that there was a masked suspect in the equipment room of the business. This information was passed to responding officers. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office assisted by providing a deputy and a canine and a perimeter was set up.

It was determined that the suspect was hiding on the roof of the business. The Redwood City Fire Department was requested and they responded with a ladder. Officers used this to access the roof and arrest the suspect.

Redwood City resident Miguel Antonio Aguilar Sariba (34) years old, was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for committing a commercial burglary and possession of illegal burglary tools.

The Redwood City Police Department appreciates the help we received from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and the Redwood City Fire Department. This is just one of many examples of the great working relationship we share with our first responder partners.”
