Hollister Police Identify Homicide Victim as Local Father of Young Daughter

The Hollister Police Department has identified the victim of a recent homicide, and is calling on the public for help in solving the case.

According to a press release by the department, officers responded late on the night of Monday, October 23, to the 1000 block of Monterey Street to investigate a report of a shooting victim. Officers discovered the victim, an adult male, who was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Jacob Arballo of Hollister. Arballo is survived by his 6-year-old daughter, as well as his mother and grandparents, police said.

Police have reportedly determined that the murder of Arballo was likely gang-related, and are calling on the public to come forward with any information that may be relevant to the case.
