Upon arrival at the scene, first responders found a side-by-side UTV-style vehicle that had overturned, with two occupants. The incident is a reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. It is illegal and puts the lives of both the driver and other road users at risk. The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and it will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute offenders.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds the public to never drink and drive or operate any vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Instead, they advise people to plan ahead and use designated drivers, taxis, or ride-sharing services. By working together, the community can help prevent the tragic consequences that can result from impaired driving.
