Fontana police have announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to the recent fatal shooting of an 18-year-old woman.
Police had responded on the afternoon of Monday, January 9, to an “unknown problem” call on the 13700 block of Bennington Court, where they reportedly discovered the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. She was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her name is being withheld pending notification of family, police said.
Officers reportedly recovered a firearm and other evidence at the scene, and soon identified the primary suspect in the murder as 21-year-old Sean Michael Neal of San Bernardino.
Neal was arrested within a day of the murder and booked at the West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of homicide.
