“On August 6, 2022, at approximately 10:01 PM, East Sacramento CHP officers responded to a call of a crash involving a vehicle which struck a pedestrian on Greenback Lane, west of Walnut Avenue. A 56-year-old female pedestrian was struck in the roadway while crossing Greenback Lane and suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the involved vehicle failed to stop after striking the pedestrian and fled the scene. Investigators identified the involved vehicle as a dark maroon/brown 2007-2008 Honda Element SC. The Honda likely sustained damage to the left front corner.
