Tuolumne County man arrested after woman reports prowler on her porch

A man was recently arrested on suspicion of prowling and burglary in Tuolumne County.

Earlier this month, deputies responded to a home on Big Hill Road near Rosy Ridge Court after a woman reported that a man was trying to get into her house. The woman and her daughter barricaded themselves in a room while deputies were en route, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Responding deputies made contact with the man, identified as 49-year-old Aaron Pollock. Pollock was reportedly sweating profusely and exhibiting rapid movements, suggesting possible intoxication on controlled substances. Pollock had also made entry into the home, taken a beverage, and removed an irrigation line, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Pollock was ultimately taken into custody on suspicion of burglary, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor warrant.
