Drug Dealer BUSTED in Tulare, 500 Fentanyl Pills Seized Following 3-week Investigation

“Investigators with the Tulare County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force (HIDTA) ended a 3-week narcotics and fentanyl investigation this afternoon.

42-year-old Sergio Luis Medrano Astorga, of Tulare, was arrested today for transporting, selling and being in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl. He was also charged with child endangerment. 41-year-old Alejandro Ruiz Cruz, of Tulare, was also taken into custody on an unrelated arrest warrant.

500 fentanyl pills and two pounds of methamphetamine were seized. The street value of this seizure is estimated to be more than $14,000.
The Tulare County HIDTA Task Force is a Narcotics Task Force based in Tulare County and consists of Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, Visalia Police Department, Porterville Police Department, Woodlake Police Department, Farmersville Police Department and a Special Agent from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
