Three dead and four hospitalized after fiery rollover accident in Orange

A 19-year-old woman from Exeter is suspected of causing a vehicle collision that killed three people and sent four people to the hospital in moderate and critical condition.

Police believe that Azarie Fuller, the driver of the vehicle that contained all seven occupants, was likely intoxicated at the time of the incident, which ended with the vehicle rolled over and on fire.

Orange police deputies noticed a Nissan Altima speeding southbound on Glassell Street around 2:47 a.m. on Saturday, July 9th. The Nissan was occupied by Fuller, three male juveniles, two female juveniles, and one male adult.

“As the officers drove south on Glassell in an attempt to locate the vehicle, they found it fully engulfed in flames on Glassell north of Taft Avenue,” said police. “They located the seven occupants who had all been ejected from the vehicle.”

One female juvenile, one male juvenile, and 26-year-old Gustavo Castro from Garden Grove were found deceased. The remaining occupants, including driver, were transported to a hospital for treatment. Fuller, one male juvenile, and one female juvenile in were found in critical condition. The other male juvenile had moderate injuries.

“Witness statements along with evidence at the scene, which included a suspected Nitrous Oxide tank and balloons, indicate alcohol and drugs were likely a factor in addition to speeding.”

Anyone who has information related to this incident is asked to contact Motor Officer Bryce Nielsen at 714-744-7444.
