Orignally published as a City of Madera Police Department Facebook post –

During the early morning hours, Officer Munoz was flagged down by a citizen who pointed out a vehicle that just collided with his car in a gas station parking lot and then fled.

Officer Munoz was able to catch up to the hit-and-run driver and got him stopped.

Diego Delacruz appeared to be intoxicated and didn’t go too well during his field sobriety tests, as shown in the video.

Delacruz’s blood alcohol concentration was later found to be twice the legal limit. Luckily this was a minor collision and no one was injured.
