“On March 7, 2022, at 2:29 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of S. San Joaquin Street for a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 41-year-old man and a 34-year-old man who had been shot.
Both men were transported to a hospital for treatment. Sadly, the 41-year-old man died from his injuries. Detectives took over the investigation and learned the 34-year-old man, identified as Cordero Currington, shot the 41-year-old man.
As Currington tried to get away, he ended up shooting himself in the leg. After being medically cleared, Currington was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for murder and various weapon charges.”
