“A suspect accused of shooting into a home with several people inside, including two children, is spending his Valentine’s Day behind bars.

Daniel Zavala, 28, is suspected of opening fire on a home on the 100 block of Hill Avenue at about 8 p.m. Friday. At the time, at least five people, including two children were inside the home when shots rang out. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Our officers and detectives worked quickly to identify the suspect, obtain search warrants and arrest Zavala that same night.

While serving search warrants, officers found a shell casing and a gun, which is believed to have been used during the shooting.

Zavala is facing several charges and is currently in county jail on a $50,000 bail.”
