Chico police seek suspect who stole cash register from Walnut Street 7-Eleven

On 08/25/2021 at approximately 0230 hours an armed robbery occurred at the 7-11 store located at 308 Walnut St. An employee working near the back of the store saw a male enter the store with a long gun. The employee along with a second employee did not hesitate to rush into the nearby bathroom where they were able to lock themselves inside and call 911.

Chico officers responded to the location, checked the store for the armed suspect and determined he was gone. Prior to leaving the suspect left the store with a cash register. The register contained an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect description is male, slender, wearing dark clothing, a dark hooded sweatshirt and a face mask. After an extensive area search the suspect’s whereabouts is still unknown.

The Chico Police Department takes all criminal activity serious and will continue to investigate this robbery. Anyone with information about the above incident are encouraged to contact the Chico Police Department @ 530-897-4911.
