“Officers were dispatched to a report of people in two vehicles shooting at each other in the area of Oak Avenue and Saunders Way on August 10th at 12:55a.m.
Seconds prior to the call being dispatched, an officer in the area of North Street / East Street saw a vehicle lose traction and turn left (northbound) on East Street from Court Street.
Due to the turn and high rate of speed, the officer made a U-turn behind the vehicle. The vehicle quickly accelerated away from the officer at a high rate of speed. The officer was unable to safely follow the vehicle.
At the same time, another vehicle was honking, flashing its lights, and trying to flag down the officer. The person in the second vehicle screamed at the officer he was shot.
The officer pulled over and spoke to the victim who told the officer his vehicle was shot at multiple times. It was determined the Oak Avenue shooting was related. The victim was never struck by gunfire, but his vehicle was.
On 8/11/21, at 11:15 a.m., Roberto Ordonez, a 19 year old Woodland resident, was arrested for the above incident. He was booked at Yolo County Jail for assault with a firearm and threats with the intent to terrorize.”
