Tuolumne man arrested in connection to string of recent property thefts

“Last Saturday, deputies were conducting a follow up investigation into recent theft cases at a property on Morris Road in Sonora.

During the investigation, 37-year-old Daniel Foote of Tuolumne was contacted while he was loading scrap into a trailer on the property. A record check of the trailer Foote was loading determined it was reported stolen. Dispatch also advised deputies Foote had several warrants for his arrest.

Further inspection of the property uncovered a stolen off-road motorcycle loaded in the bed of Foote’s pickup truck.

Foote was arrested and searched incident to his arrest. Foote was in possession of drug paraphernalia which prompted a search of his vehicle. A vehicle search produced just under an ounce of suspected methamphetamine, just under an ounce of suspected heroin, and drug sales related paraphernalia.

Foote was ultimately booked for his various warrants, possession of methamphetamine and heroin for sale, possession of stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.”
