San Francisco man turns himself in for October 2020 Muni bus assault

A San Francisco man has reportedly turned himself in for an alleged assault that occurred in October of 2020.

Police say that, on March 25, 19-year-old Epriece Collins turned himself in in connection to the assault of a 44-year-old man aboard a Muni 14-Line bus on the afternoon of October 3, 2020.

Collins allegedly confronted the victim, another passenger on the bus, and threw him out the rear door, causing him to strike his head on the pavement. The victim remains hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury as of late March of this year.

Following Collins’ interview with San Francisco police, he was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of aggravated assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.
