The Redding Police Department made an arrest of a man in possession of child pornography –
“Recently, the Redding Police Departments’s Investigations Division received a tip regarding an unknown Redding resident possessing child pornography.
Investigators immediately conducted follow up which resulted in the resident being identified as Zachary Brian Brush (54 years of age). A records check revealed Brush is required to register as a sex offender due to a prior conviction for a sexual related offense.
Today, Investigators served a search warrant at Brush’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices and accounts. Upon reviewing the evidence, numerous images of child pornography were located. At the conclusion of the investigation, Brush was arrested for possession of child pornography by a registered sex offender and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
The Redding Police Department is asking for anyone with information regarding this investigation to contact us as soon as possible.”
