Two Kern County individuals were cited after allegedly shoplifting cart full of merchandise from a Wasco Rite-Aid store.

Around 12:30 PM on Wednesday, April 15, employees at Highway 46 store called police to report an individual who’d come into the store, filled up a cart, and fled.

Employees provided a description and plate number for the vehicle, which revealed the owner lived in Delano.

Deputies posted up outside the owner’s residence and waited. Sure enough, the suspects arrived shortly thereafter.

24-year-old Eduardo Arambula Martinez and 40-year-old Angelica Aguilar, both of Delano, were cited and released on suspicion of shoplifting, conspiracy, and looting.

The stolen items were recovered from the vehicle.
