The Lincoln Police Department gives this report about the arrest of a thieving trio of people on their official Facebook page-

Derek Dozier

“At about 2:00 AM on March 6th Lincoln Police Officers were notified of two suspicious vehicles in the 1200 block of Southwick Lane (thanks to an alert resident whose doorbell camera notified them of activity). The person who had been driving the first vehicle was reported to be on foot carrying a backpack and checking car door handles. The occupants of the other vehicle, 30-year-old Derek Dozier of Loma Rica and 28-year-old Kayla Houser of Marysville, were following the truck through the neighborhood.

Officers arrived and the driver of the first vehicle, 25-year-old Austin Gardner of Atwater, fled on foot from officers, but was ultimately located in a backyard. Officers identified two theft victims in the area, and based on the property in the truck we anticipate identifying additional theft victims. It was determined that Dozier and Houser were acting as “lookouts” for Gardner.

Gardner was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, petty theft and conspiracy. Dozier and Houser were arrested for conspiracy. All three were booked at the South Placer Jail. City of Lincoln, Local Government.”
