Man with active warrant for assault, false imprisonment arrested
The Woodland Police Department announced the arrest of a man who had an active warrant out for his arrest –
“Last night (February 26) at approximately 9:21 pm officers with the Woodland Police Gang Task Force recognized a driver of a vehicle to be a wanted subject out of Woodland.
They attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver abruptly stopped the vehicle in the 100 block of Elm St. and fled into the backyard of a residence. The subject, Pedro Ibarra Alvares, was located and taken into custody without incident.
Alvares was our Warrant Wednesday subject from February 5th. Alvares was booked into Yolo County Jail on an active FELONY $125,000 WARRANT OF ARREST for aggravated assault, violating a protective order, and false imprisonment.”
