An alleged assault with a deadly weapon has led to the arrest of two active gang members in Santa Rosa.

Just before noon on Sunday, February 16th, officers were called to the 700 block of West Avenue regarding a fight between three subjects.

Two of the subjects had fled prior to their arrival, but officers soon spotted their vehicle and detained them in the area of Sebastopol Road and Dutton Avenue.

Investigation determined that the suspects — 23-year-old Pablo Perez of Rohnert Park and 22-year-old Enrique Hernandez-Camacho of Cotati — had started an altercation with two victims over gang affiliation, during which either Perez or Camacho had struck one of the victims with a handgun.

Officers searched their vehicle and turned up gang indicia, evidence of drug sales, and a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Both have since been booked on charges including being an active gang participant with a loaded firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and participation in a criminal street gang.
