CAMERON PARK – On the afternoon of June 1st, authorities received a report of a person who appeared to be unconscious inside a running vehicle in a parking lot. El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and made contact with the man, now identified as 42 year old Gabriel Butler of South Lake Tahoe, who by this time was awake and ready to run.
Butler fled the scene, leaving behind his drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. However Butler’s flight was short lived, as not long later, a business nearby called the authorities to report a man hiding in a tree. Deputies responded and found Butler in the tree, and he was subsequently arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia as well as resisting arrest or obstructing or delaying a peace officer.
