DIAMOND BAR – An 18-year-old member of the River of Life Church reported two years of sex with a church volunteer and family friend to authorities. LA County Sheriffs Department Special Victims Bureau Detectives took immediate investigative action on the February 21 report.

“These incidents took place when the victim was just 16 years old and a member of the church,” said Lieutenant Andrew Meyer. “The victim stated that the suspect would have sex with her at the church as well as provide her with pornography to watch.”

Within two weeks, LACSD SVB Detectives had their man. Chee Lim Chook (55) of Rosemead was arrested at his home for oral copulation of a minor and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

The Pomona District Attorney’s Office filed seven felony and one misdemeanor charge against the suspect on March 16th:
