Man Break’s Into Neighbor’s House, Fires Shots Inside

APTOS – A man broke into his neighbor’s house and shot at the two women inside on August 15 at 5:44 p.m.

57-year-old Ralph Millar lives on the 100 block of Santa Cruz Avenue. That afternoon he broke into his neighbor’s house and began firing.

One of the women. shot in the leg, went to a trauma center for her injuries in stable condition. Millar did not shoot the other woman.

Afterwards, Millar “returned to his home and refused to surrender.”

Law enforcement evacuated the area and negotiations with the suspect continued throughout the night.

17 hours later, around noon on Thursday, Millar walked out and surrendered.

Although the neighbor’s reportedly had a dispute in June, an investigation into a reason for the incident continues.
