SAN LUIS OBISPO – A sexual assault occurred on July 13, and police arrested a suspect on August 1.
At 5;45 a.m. in the 1500 block of Osos a man with a knife entered the victim’s residence. The victim and her roommate resisted and fled, as did the suspect.
Investigators believe this incident may be related to a similar one on July 8. It also involved an early morning break-in and the presentation of a knife.
On August 1 detectives arrested 40-year-old Arthur Rocha for the crime. His charges now include –
- assault with a deadly weapon;
- burglary;
- criminal threats;
- assault with the intent to commit rape.
Authorities set Rocha’s bail at $1 million.
