REDDING – Early on Monday morning SCSD (1:50AM) deputies were called out to a home on the 20000 block of Boyle Road.
The caller, 25-year-old Jacob Nathaniel Wiley, said that he was shot at by 25-year-old Wayne Kenneth Doelker.
The backstory is that Wiley and 44-year-old Shannon Xylina Perez were invited to the residence by its owner, Doelker. As the trio sat in the front yard, the two men became intoxicated and later combative.
Doelker went inside his home and then came back out with a rifle and fired tow shots in the couple’s direction, who fled and called 911.
Doelker also left his home and has not been located at press time. He faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon,245(a)(2) and negligent discharge of a firearm 246.3(a).
He is a white male, 5’11”, 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. The SCSD says, “If anyone has any information concerning Doelker’s whereabouts, they are urged to call the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office at (530) 245-6540.”
UPDATE – On Monday morning Doelker was spotted as a passenger in a pickup truck and detained and arrested without incident.
