PLACERVILLE – After midnight on Saturday a PPD officer stopped a driver on eastbound Interstate 50 near the Schell Road exit on the suspicion that the driver was DUI.

Once the officer stopped the vehicle, he developed probable cause to search it.
The search yield 7 pounds of marijuana, 10 pounds of meth, several thousand dollars and items associated with the sales of drugs.
The unnamed driver was arrested. The Placer CHP noted, “To put it in perspective, this amount of methamphetamine alone could be enough for approximately 228,000 individual doses”
