Second Suspect in Attempted Murder/Robbery Arrested

BAKERSFIELD — On January 24, a man was lured by 3 persons to a site where he was then kidnapped and the trio attempted to rob him.  The victim reported that, during the crime, a handgun was displayed and placed against him.  Since the incident, 18-year-old Miguel Gutierrez was arrested  and remains in custody in connection with the case.

Further investigation produced a second suspect — 20-year-old Stephanie Quiroz. Charges against her included attempted murder. attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and gang participation.

On Saturday, Quiroz was arrested near Panama Lane and Wible Road. She had half of an ounce of meth in her possession at the time.

Her bail has been set at $1,100,000.
