BOONVILLE // On September 21st just after 1 PM, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the 1800 block of Hutsell Road to investigate a possible burglary in progress.

A cleaning person had gone to a vacation rental home to discover a white Ford Mustang parked there, along with occupants described as four “young Hispanic males.” The cleaning person called the homeowner, who then called the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies spoke with the young men and discovered they’d arrived at the house at around 2 that morning. The group had apparently helped themselves to nearly every amenity the house had to offer — drinking the alcohol and bottled water, eating the food, going through drawers and cabinets, sleeping in the beds, using the showers and towels, watching TV and playing video games, etc.

All four subjects, three of which were juveniles, were arrested and charged with burglary and conspiracy.

The lone adult suspect, identified as 19-year-old Juan Rebolla-Medina, was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon. He is housed at the Mendocino County Jail on $50,000 bond.
