Ukiah man arrested after 11-year-old reports sexual abuse

UKIAH // In the middle of August, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Detectives were alerted by Child Protective Services that they’d received a report of sexual abuse from an 11-year-old girl.
A criminal investigation began immediately, with probable cause soon established that 52-year-old David John Richard had continuously abused the girl over a period of several months when she was 7-8 years old.
Detectives obtained a warrant for Richard’s arrest and took him into custody on September 8th.
He is housed at the Mendocino County Jail on $300,000 bond.
