DUI Conviction for West Covina Councilman

WEST COVINE – 50-year-old West Covina councilman Micheal Herman Spence pled guilty to one misdemeanor count  of driving under the influence recently.

The incident involved Spence’s operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of a drug on June 12 of this year and crashing his car.  He hit a pole near Azusa Avenue and Cypress Street in Covina.

He was sentenced to three years of probation, and must attend a one-day Mothers Against Drunk Driving course.

In addition, a restitution hearing will be held on January 23, 2017.
