Arrested were 21-year-old Christopher Walls, 20-year-old Erik Aburto, and 19-year-old Daniel Zavala-Aguilera. One additional suspect, 19-year-old Gerardo Patricio, remains at large. Police have issued an arrest warrant.

On Friday, June 3rd, two Watsonville officers patrolling the area of East Lake Avenue noticed a vehicle with an expired tag. As officers stopped, they saw the vehicle’s front passenger door open and something sprint from the car.

The three other men stayed in the vehicle as the deputies made contact. The men were allegedly uncooperative while being taken into custody and were discovered to have been in possession of a .44 caliber revolver hidden in the glove box.

All three were charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a car, possession of a concealed weapon while in a criminal street gang, carrying a loaded firearm, and other charges. Each were assigned bail of $25,000.
