Murderer Arrested Following Two-year Investigation

BAKERSFIELD — A man wanted for murdering another man over two years ago has been arrested.

Ethan Wiley, 22-years-old, who was already in-custody at the Kern County Jail on unrelated charges, was booked on charges of murder and robbery. He is being held without bail.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Wiley has been identified as the primary suspect in the death of 53 year-old Terrence Tsitakis, who was strangled to death inside a home in the 3900 block of Bianchi Way, in south Bakersfield at around 10 p.m. on September 20, 2013.

Detectives said they were able to gather enough evidence during their comprehensive investigation over the past two years to develop probable cause to arrest Wiley for the murder of Tsitakis and obtained an arrest warrant for him on January 15, 2016.
