Trail of broken cigars leads to robbery suspect

BIG OAK FLAT — On December 27th at approximately 2:47 A.M., the Claim Jumper Outpost was broken into by a suspect who threw a rock through the window.

The sheriff was able to view footage on video of the suspect entering and stealing merchandise, including Swisher Sweet cigars.  After making note of the suspect’s clothes, the sheriff followed a collection of broken cigars from the business to a nearby residence.

Inside is where the found the suspect, still wearing the clothes he’d robbed the store in and in possession of the stolen merchandise.

The owner positively identified the stolen items and Wyatt Wilson was arrested for burglary.  He is housed on $50,000 bail.
