Chowchilla Man Arrested for Gunpoint Kidnapping

A man has been arrested for alleged violence in Chowchilla on December 17th. According to the official media report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, Ramiro Gonzalez-Ochoa (26) was arrested for inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, kidnapping, and assault with a firearm on a person with intent to terrorize.

The arrest was made by officers of the Chowchilla Police Department in the early hours of the morning.

According to the MCDC report, Gonzalez-Ochoa is not currently employed and has no prior records. The victim’s name as well as motive for the attack have not been released.

Contreras is currently housed on $200,000 bail. If convicted, he could face a penalty of 20 years in California state prison.
