Madera man arrested on weapon charges

An arrest was made in Madera on gun charges last Thursday, October 1.

According to the official media report from the Madera County Department of Corrections, Kyle Cevasco, 23, was booked for purchasing a firearm without identification, a misdemeanor, and carrying a loaded firearm without being the registered owner, a felony.

He was arrested by Madera police at or near the United Methodist Church on Sunset Avenue, just down the road from Thomas Jefferson Middle School. It is also just around the corner from his residence, a house on M Street just behind the church. He was booked at 3:06 in the afternoon.

Just two months prior to this incident, Cevasco was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, heroin. He was booked on that charge at 1 am Sunday, August 2, on $5,000 bail. For his latest infractions, bail has been set at $26,000.
