SACRAMENTO—A Sacramento man was arrested early on Monday, February 23, in connection with a domestic violence incident that left the victim seriously injured.

Police, and then a SWAT team were dispatched at approximately 3:45 a.m. to a residence on the 7800 block of Beaupre Way in Citrus Heights after receiving a 911 call. Police found the woman who said she had been attacked in a domestic violence dispute with Benjamin Haven. They searched the residence but the suspect had fled.

The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries.

Officers made several unsuccessful attempts to contact Haven, 31, by telephone and decided to summon SWAT due to the seriousness of the alleged crime and the suspect’s violent history.

At about 1:45 p.m. Citrus Heights officers located Haven driving his vehicle and arrested him on suspicion of felony domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
