Colorado Springs Car Thief Captured in California

The Paso Robles Police arrested a man for stealing a vehicle on Monday.

According to PRPD, they conducted a traffic stop on a 1991 Honda Accord along the 1100 block of Black Oak Drive around 1:25 p.m.

During the stop, officers discovered the car was stolen out of Arizona. Police also discovered the driver matched a description  of a suspect who was seen walking away froma stolen car recovered in Paso Robles a few days prior.

Officers arrested Jacob Levi Arvik, of Colorado Springs.

Arvik also had a felony arrest warrant issued out of Colorado.

Police, after searching the vehicle, discovered  .8 grams of suspected heroin and several items believed to be stolen in numerous local thefts.

Arvik was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for felony vehicle theft, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony receiving stolen property, misdemeanor possession of burglary tools and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
